MJK Training - Physical Restraint & Handcuffing Course

At MJK Training we want to help you get prepared, with Physical Restraint & Handcuffing Course with This 2-Day Programme for Event & Festival Response Officers

This intensive two-day course is designed for licensed response officers working at festivals, sporting events, concerts and high-risk public gatherings where physical restraint and handcuffing may be an operational requirement.

The programme provides officers with the legal knowledge, practical skills and professional judgement required to safely manage non-compliant or violent individuals. Training focuses on lawful use of force, team restraint techniques, safe application of rigid and chain-link handcuffs, positional asphyxia awareness, and post-incident reporting.

Delivered in line with UK legislation including the Criminal Law Act 1967 and guidance from the Security Industry Authority, this course ensures officers understand necessity, proportionality and accountability when applying force.

Practical scenario-based exercises simulate real event environments, preparing response teams to operate confidently, professionally and safely.

Suitable for:
SIA-licensed Door Supervisors or Security Officers deployed in response or intervention roles.
